AWS re/Start and MigraCode have teamed up to offer this tuition-free, hybrid program in Barcelona only for women! Learn how to become a professional junior cloud engineer with Amazon Web Services re/Start, a free, part-time skills development program to jump-start your career working in cloud computing.
Cloud computing refers to the delivery of IT resources over the Internet on an as-needed basis. Organisations and companies of every type, size, and industry are using the cloud for a wide variety of use cases, such as data backup, disaster recovery, email, virtual desktops, software development and testing, big data analytics, and customer-facing web applications.
To join this course offered by Amazon Web Services at MigraCode, you just need motivation, a basic technical background, knowledge of English, and to be part of the migrant or refugee communities.

Only Women. We're dedicated to empowering women to enter and excel in the tech sector. This course is exclusively for women, providing a unique opportunity to gain essential AWS skills, prepare for certifications, and join a supportive community of like-minded professionals.

You must either be a refugee or asylum seeker, OR a migrant from outside the EU not having the opportunities to find work or in a difficult/vulnerable living situation.

Over 18 years of age.

English speaker (C1 or high B2 minimum). At the moment we only do this course in English. In the future there will be options for Spanish as well.

Availability for the duration of the course (6 months) with a total of 420 hours, in 3 to 4-hour classes, 5 days a week

Live in Barcelona or close to Barcelona.

The highest motivation to learn AWS Cloud. It will make the difference from graduating or not.

Preferably you should have already some previous experience in IT, but it is not necessary.

What is the cost of this course?
This course has no cost and is directed towards people with a migrant background.
What's the duration of the course?
The duration of the course is of 6 months starting the 16 of October, 2024 and ending in June 2025. Each week of study will be of 20h. average.
Are classes in person?
Classes will be a mix of in-person classes and online. Weekday classes will be online and on saturdays classes will be in-person.
Can I apply if I don't have any experience?
Absolutely! We encourage you to apply if you have a strong interest in cloud computing and are willing to complete the course.
